Bil'ki

 Foundation of the village
According to the legends the village was founded in the beginning of the second half of the 17-th sentury by Vasylyi Kopyto and Fedor Kulaga (Kyd’). They chose a nice hill for their first settlement surrounded by meadows and Zolotonoshka river that had plenty of fish. Here are some families that came originally from the village: Kopul, Kyd’, Zavalko, Varyvoda, Shnur, Shylenko, Kyytzekon’, Dushka, Kysla, Andryshchenko, Kostenko, Marzofey, Korotkyi, Vel’ko.

 The name of the village
According to the legend, the village Bil'ki inherited its name when a fish "bilyzna” was cought in the river Zolotonosha. In 1767 the village included 7 homesteads and 12 youses.
