Shemshur

On the basis of Kushnyr-Marchenko manuscript.  In about 1720 appeared the first inhabitants of the village Samovytsa. It were the Cossacks. Oleksa Veremiyovush Shemshur was among them. He came from Chernyhyv region. He was probably out of so called "lutvun” people. Even now some people name their offsprings  "lutvun”. Oleksa Veremiyovush lived with Khoma, later he married his daughter. Oleksa had three sons and now a half of the village has a surname Shemshur.

Oleksa Veremiyovush seems to be very rich man. He bought a lot of land, forest and cattle.
According to the church books of Mycholayiv Church
Oleksa (1694 – 1762) had 3 sons:
1.    Anton (1724*- 1797);
2.    Fedyr  (his wife Kateryna was born in 1721);
3.    Lukyan(was born in 1732).
Anton had 4 sons:
1)    Kyryl (born in 1752);
2)    Fedyr (1753 – 1799);
3)    Ivan (1755 – 1796);
4)    Vasylyi (born in 1784).

Fedyr had 2 sons:
1)    Khoma (1762 – 1822);
2)     Pavlo (was born in 1773).
Lukyan had 3 sons:
1)    Gavrylo (1752* -1826);
2)    Grygoriy (1766 – 1838);
3)Mykyna (1770 – 1823).
