Shtan'ko Volodymyr Pulupovych

Volodymyr was born in 1904. In the late 1920’s did his military service. He was not very tall. He did very nice sheepskin coats and felt boots. At the beginning of 1930’s he married to Shemshur Ganna Yakyvna (1908 – 1969). He had 2 children: a son Dmytry ans a daughter Valentyna. Few times he was on re-qualification training. You may see him on the photo below – the first to the left standing. In spring 1941 - he left to re-qualification training and never come back. Formally lost in August 1941. He was driving a unit transport. He got into an encirclement, later was in captivity. He was in concentration camp near Kruvuy Ryg. He was offered to escape but he refused as he was very weak. Later all the camp moved to Poland. Probably there he died.

Volodymyr had 2 brothers: Stepan (1899-?) and Porfum (1902-?).
Both of them died during the World War II.
